If you spend a third of your day on the floor building block towers, your jeans need a job description.

The checklist

  • 1–2% stretchenough to crouch, not so much they bag out by noon
  • Mid or high rise that stays put when you bend
  • Deep front pockets for a phone and snack wrapper
  • Darker wash to hide yogurt fingerprints

Fits to try

Straight leg and relaxed tapered both work. Skinny can feel restrictive on the floor; wide leg can catch on car seats.

Care

Wash inside out, cold, and hang dry to keep the stretch. A stretch straight-leg pair in two washes covers most of the week.
