Adele for a Rainy Drive Home From Work

Windshield wipers, brake lights, and Adele turned up just enough. A drive-home listening plan for the evenings you need ten minutes to feel something first.

Some drives home are for decompressing before walking into dinner, homework, and noise. Adele is built for that.

The drive-home sequence

  • "Hometown Glory" pulling out of the lot
  • "Someone Like You" at the first long red light
  • "Easy on Me" for the stretch of highway
  • "Rolling in the Deep" for the last mile, walk in the door with your shoulders back

Why sing it in the car

The car is one of the only places many moms are truly alone. Belting is allowed. Crying at a stoplight is allowed.

Keep it safe

Queue the playlist before you start the car and let it run. No skipping at sixty miles an hour.
