Guests notice the bathroom more than the living room. Ten minutes covers it.

Beautifully Chaotic Life is not asking for grout restoration. We are asking for a counter a stranger can use without moving your floss collection.

## The checklist

1. **Clear the counter** into a basket and stash it under the sink.
2. **Wipe** sink, faucet, and mirror with one cloth.
3. **Toilet:** quick swish, wipe seat and rim.
4. **Fresh hand towel:** clean, preferably matching enough.
5. **Extra toilet paper** where it is visible (not buried in a cabinet).
6. **Empty the trash.**
7. **Candle or open window** for thirty seconds of air.
8. **Close the shower curtain.** What is behind it is between you and the shower.

Set a ten-minute timer. When it rings, you stop. Done is better than perfect.

## Stash strategy

A bin under the sink labeled "morning clutter" makes the clear-off step repeatable. Guests do not need to see twelve products. You do not need to declutter your life before dinner.

## Supplies that earn their keep

Disinfecting wipes, glass wipe or microfiber, spare hand towels folded together, a spare TP roll on the tank or shelf. If you host often, keep a "guest reset" pouch with these in one place.

[Microfiber cloths](https://www.amazon.com/s?k=microfiber+cleaning+cloths&tag=unknowndivi02-20&ref=beautifullychaoticlife.com) beat scratchy paper towels on mirrors.

## Kids and shared baths

If the guest bath is also the kid bath, do the reset after the last child wash of the day. Bath toys go in a mesh bag or bin, not on the tub edge for company photos.

## What you can ignore

Perfect caulk. Matching soap dispensers. The chip in the tile. Guests are checking for TP, a place to set their phone, and whether the sink is sticky. Hit those.

## After guests leave

Swap the hand towel into laundry. Put your basket of daily stuff back. Reset takes two minutes when the system already exists.

## Done looks like

Someone can wash hands without rearranging your life. You can answer the door without sprinting to hide deodorant. Ten minutes well spent.
