Short mornings punish long routines. A new derm-built makeup brand is pitching the opposite: fewer steps with skincare logic inside the color.

Per a DOSE (OF) DERM announcement on PR Newswire dated October 20, 2026, board-certified dermatologist Dr. Sheila Farhang launched the brand with an All-in-One Clinical Foundation. The brand describes a six-in-one formula that protects, corrects, conceals, brightens, hydrates, and smooths, with buildable coverage and all-mineral Broad Spectrum SPF 45. Launch shade count is listed as six, with more in development. The brand also opened waitlists the same day for a peptide lip stain and a dual blush-contour stick.

How BCL would test it

If you already wear foundation plus a separate SPF, this is worth a shade check on doseofderm.com, not an automatic cart dump. Mineral SPF foundations can look different in daylight than in bathroom bulbs. Swatch on the jaw in real light before you commit a school-week morning to it.

The brand announced a $68 launch price for the foundation. Confirm current pricing and shade range on the brand site before you buy. Lip and cheek follow-ups were waitlist-only at announcement.

Integrity note

Claims and launch details come from the brand's PR Newswire release and site. We are not affiliated with DOSE (OF) DERM. SPF still requires proper amount and reapplication guidance from the label. See a clinician for melasma or other medical skin concerns.

Shade and SPF reality checks

Six launch shades will not cover every undertone. If you are between shades, wait for expansions or skip rather than forcing a mismatch you will fight every morning. Bring your jawline to a window. Phone selfies lie.

Mineral SPF 45 in a foundation still depends on how much product you apply. Many people under-apply makeup relative to sunscreen guidelines. If you spend long days outdoors, keep a separate sunscreen habit rather than assuming foundation alone is enough.

Postpartum melasma and other pigment concerns deserve clinical advice. A new brand can be interesting without becoming your only plan. Patch-test if your skin is reactive, and return products that sting beyond normal wear-in.

How to test a new foundation without wasting a morning

Any hybrid foundation deserves a trial on a low-stakes day. Swatch a few shades along your jawline and check them in daylight, not under bathroom bulbs. Apply a thin layer with fingers or a damp sponge and wear it through a normal afternoon to see how it moves around the nose and chin, where texture usually shows first.

If you have reactive skin, patch test on the side of your neck for a couple of days before going all in, and keep your usual sunscreen in the routine until you have read the product's SPF labeling yourself. Skincare-style ingredients in makeup are a bonus, not a replacement for the basics.

Where it fits in a real routine

For short mornings, the goal is three steps: cleanse or rinse, moisturize, then one complexion product. If a single foundation can carry that third step and still look like skin by 4 p.m., that is a genuine time savings. If not, a skin tint and concealer remain a perfectly good plan.
